    Maloo springs in ssv ute

remember that the maloos are heavier than the ss, so you might not get much of a drop why not put king springs in or similar, last time i checked 130 per pair, cheap as chips...

    what's the difference??

the cam in a L77/76 is also slightly smaller, this doesnt change the outputs of a stock car, but when tuned the L77/76 will see about 10rwkw less than an L98

New Product for VE V8: 108mm throttle body & manifold

Im sure there are some floating around, but this has been specifically developed for the VE by a reputable company... Other than completely worked & custom built engines, I havent seen any VEs on any of the forums with aftermarket throttle bodies, and maybe one or two with manifolds, so this...

New Product for VE V8: 108mm throttle body & manifold

isnt the fast manifold 102mm, and also hasnt the fast manifold been shown to have little or no gains (no offence) it doesnt look like the VCM throttle body & manifold are sold separately either Im sure the fuel rails just fit on as normal, although yes they appear to be missing in the photo

Just got VE SS tuned. Is this a typical result?

Yeah no offence but 780 is way too high for 255rwkw, I dont beleive it, not sure whether its a typo or faulty dyno reading... anyway its not the dyno figure that matters, I have 250rwkw and have run 13.0 @ 112mph and Im not even a good drag racer!

E85 Fuel for the 6L......Anyone using it? what are your thoughts??

no worries, yeah series 1 you could put it in for the short term, but you would want to upgrade the whole fuel system if youre planning on running it long term

VE SS II Walkinshaw Power Pack + Headers + 3.45 Diff. Thoughts?

lol at "OTR seems worthless" a tune with an OTR will make far more power & torque than everything you are considering! yeah throw an exhaust on if you want that lovely sound, but it honestly gives f*ck all performance, maybe 7rwkw for a catback and 15rwkw for a full system, you wouldnt notice...

    VCM 3.7 Diff

3.7s go way harder than the standard 3.45, feel so much better! when I got mine done I was told the speedo reads from the wheels so it will be fine, but the cruise control will be off, so either way you should probably get it done, although I know someone who installed one themselves and didnt...

do i have to change my supersports rims to drop HSV Brakes on

^ the SS actually uses the same caliper, but a larger diameter rotor, so all you would need to upgrade your Sv6 would be the SS mounting bracket and rotors (preferably slotted) then fit the same calipers back on but honestly, the biggest difference in braking is the pads, I used to have a Sv6...

do i have to change my supersports rims to drop HSV Brakes on

i repeat, HSV AND redline brembos will not fit behind supersports full stop... each Holden wheel is slightly different, its the clearance between the face of the caliper and the wheel spokes thats the killer, so even if you calculate its offset and think it will fit, you could be disappointed!

    Redline Brembo Review

^ $150 total for both front calipers for my pads, but totally depends on what brand and where you buy like anything else

E85 Fuel for the 6L......Anyone using it? what are your thoughts??

if youre tuned to E85 it makes a fair bit more power than 98RON, this is because its actually around 108RON
  32. T

do i have to change my supersports rims to drop HSV Brakes on

Brembos or HSV (AP) wont fit under your wheels, so if you want to keep your wheels youll need to get something like Harrop which are expensive, if you dont mind changing wheels then the redline brembos are 1600 or 2nd hand HSVs are 2000-2500... so youre pretty much gonna be out of pocket a fair...

    Twin turbo sv6

wow I hope you have budgeted for a new heavy duty driveline & clutch, and I hope you've sussed the ECU support are you going for a completely new ECU or modifying the stock one? if it works the results should be interesting

    Redline Brembo Review

totally worth it... they are 4 piston calipers, 355 x 32mm rotors, and a much larger pad surface area, same lines and bolt on to the same bracket so very easily upgraded massive difference in braking is all I can say! with good pads/rotors I can bring on ABS at 160-180kph, and easily last a...

VE series II SS Sedan 'blackie'

thanks guys, brand new, sounds great! I live near Chandler, but you could have seen me! like any warranty, if my modifications cause a problem then its not covered, but there really isnt much chance of that, theyre only bolt-ons! (for just springs and exhaust youre more than fine)
  37. T

VE series II SS Sedan 'blackie'

I may as well post this up for reference, here is the complete parts list for a redline front brembo kit (as seen on my car), the caliper lines and mounting points are all compatible so this everything you need, I also have the part numbers for the holden rotors & pads, but honestly you're just...

VE series II SS Sedan 'blackie'

Thanks! I got the brake calipers, bolts, etc from Holden Parts, and the rotors & pads from GSLRallySport I did explore getting the brakes painted, but if I was going to do it at all I would do it properly which means taking them apart, getting them powdercoated, then rebuilding them! Sorta...
