VCM also make an intake pipe similar to the one you posted for $120-130, no idea if they are better than the OEM pipe hopefully someone more knowledgeable will pipe in later :p

It has been a while since I read the reviews I know there are a few more reviews comparing the two just have to properly search the site but I found these three just now. The Wheels or Motor Tyre test can be found online somewhere, it too was a few years ago...
I chose Kumho KU39 over FK453 based on it placing higher in two tyre tests done by http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/ It also scored third place in a Wheels or Motor tyre comparison.
If you take SAE vs DIN into consideration the difference should be 31 fwkw, with 25% drivetrain loss it is about 23 rwkw difference so pretty close to the 20 rwkw difference in the video. Holden use SAE - HSV use DIN

The tunes are different according to Luis at APS, read it on the HSV forum if I recall correctly the 400 kw tune has slightly more torque management restricting its power on launch or down low if that makes sense
Even though it all comes from the same refineries, I have been told each company adds their own additives to the fuel which is what differentiates one brand from the other.
The fix for the clutch pedal sticking to the floor is to change the slave cylinder to a VZ one, much better than the plastic one in the early VE's or fit an LS7 clutch. It is a well documented problem I'm surprised it didn't come up when you searched the forum for a possible fix.
Not anymore, quote taken from linked article "GMH has since stripped the special diagnostic tool of its ability to wind back odometers. The tool allowed dealers to limitless rewind the odometers of new Holden vehicles that had done less than 100km"
In answer to the OPs question mine had 11km...
I was pretty sure the TR6060 was introduced in the S2 VE but I just found two articles that say it was introduced in 09/2009 (MY10) S1.

Not correct, E2 had GXP Clubsport, later E3s also had base model Clubsport 317 kw compared to 325 (R8) it missed out on the EDI and bi-modal exhaust.
E2/E3 also had launch control (manual only) and 3 stage ESC with competitive mode.
Great tyre, really happy with them. I bought them direct from International Tyre Trader's website which was slightly cheaper than their ebay store. I also used the LS1 forum discount code which brought the price down to $208 for 275/30/20.
Yep they keep the filter for when they do their own backyard jobs, works out to be extra cash for themselves. Same thing happened to a mate at a Nissan dealership he marked the filter and sure enough after he picked up the car it had the same filter. Have heard it from other mechanics aswell but...
Check if the heat shield underneath the car (which runs along the exhaust shielding the brake lines) is loose, or has moved inwards slightly causing the rattle.
Just a guess, but might be worth checking first before you go changing gaskets/flanges
I got 20L of 5w-30 for just under $270 at Petrogas, but when Supercheap auto have their 20% off storewide sale I got Mobil 1 5w-30 5L for $68, which is basically the same price as what I get from Petrogas.
You don't have to go to Petrogas, just find your nearest Mobil distributor.
Agree, got my windows tinted by Tint Professor they recommended the premium package which includes carbon tint for the back window. They said it was recommended for better radio reception and GPS signal for the Sat Nav.
I have Di Filippo 3" catback on the Clubby, stock HSV headers and cats, no drone but mine is manual, once it carboned up got a bit louder and sounded much better! I believe it would sound better with aftermarket headers and cats but I am happy with the current set up.
The TR6060 was introduced to 2009 plated HSV's. I believe they were then fitted to the SS sometime in 2010, most likely with the introduction of the series 2.
I read the following Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power the night before I picked up my new car, so soon as the car was up to operating temp I followed their recommendations. I was also told manufacturers run their engines in at the factory dont know...
I have been told the MY12 will have updated maps for sat nav and will also have had the latest IQ software installed. The MY12 V8's also have different radiator position to MY11.
My choice would be to get the Brembo rears to match the fronts you have now and if you wanna change the look you might want to get some slotted rotors.
They are replacing Group 4 oils with Group 5 to reduce emissions, the law was passed a few years back. I checked an old container of Mobil 1 with a new one, old Mobil 1 Group 4, new Mobil 1 Group 5.
I believe they will only do the update if you are experiencing one of the above problems. I think the reason might be that installing the update for no reason is not recommended because the update may create its own bugs. I am only guessing because I know of a lot of people that had their IQ...
If you have a Samsung load up the CD(Kies) you got with the phone and connect your phone to your P.C with the provided USB cable, in the Kies software there as a page that updates any new operating system or software available... this fixed my bluetooth connection problems...
thats one of the benefits of 304 over 409 stainless steel you dont have to paint 304 it retains its stainless finish and 304 is better for salty environments ie next to beaches or in the U.S/U.K where they put salt to clear up icey roads. One of the advantages of painted exhaust ie (409) it...
I reckon you may be on the money there my VN used to sit a bit lower on drivers side have seen a few cars that sit lower on that side... having said that my R8 sits level but it is only 12mths old.
I have 3inch Di filippo cat back the lowest part is the mounting point just before rear muffler doesn't sit that low mine is stock height so it sits 135mm of the ground same height as front spoiler.
The clearance issues you have heard about are when you fit headers I enquired about these as I...
