Yeh it would have to be something to do with an incorrect Tow Bar fixture, maybe home made or something, and yes they need a bar going under the fuel tank to the boot front, IRS and rigid suspension are two different Tow Bar set ups as well.

Check the throttle cable dude, remove it from the throttle body and push/pull the cable, it should slide in and out freely, if not get a new cable.
