2013 VE LPG. Rough idle. Stability Control turns off etc... Fault codes 304 and 300. Needs a new ECU ?

I've had the car at a mechanics and he's gone thru... new plugs/coils, looking for vacuum leaks, faulty sensors, battery condition/voltage etc etc... The car still has the same missing/rough idle problem. Some reckon it could be a crook ECU or BCM etc...

Any ideas on this ? I've heard that a new ECU or BCM would need programming to suit the car.

Have you had a compression test or cylinder leakage test done?
How many K/M have you done?
Mine had 2 burnt out exhaust valves, but it was a LW2 engine. Idle was terrible.

150k kms. I asked the mechanic about burnt valve/s. He hasn't done those tests but he reckons it not a burnt valve. I dunno ;o)

Out of interest.. how much was the valve repair work ??

Sounds like you need the services of an auto electrician if the mechanic is just firing the parts cannon at it without an actual resolution.

Is it dual fuel or dedicated LPG? If it’s dual fuel does it run any different between fuels?

Let's spend a lot of your money and then when I can't solve it send you off to a auto electrician to spend some more.
But he sure it's not burnt valves because he used his superman x-ray vision to look!
I'm sorry but at what point do you shirt front these turds and tell them no more money fix it or refund me every cent I spent?
I am not advocating violence but if you pay and they don't fix you don't pay anymore until it is fixed END OF STORY

A compression and leak down check on each cylinder will give you a good idea about the engines basic health.
If it checks out, then look at electronics and fuel delivery.

It’s one thing that really does shite me with mechanics. They basically don’t wear any risk from not doing their job properly and in fact get rewarded for it. In most other professions if they don’t do the job properly they have to fix it at their expense but mechanics can continually dip into your wallet until you call time on it.

Firing the parts cannon shouldn’t really be part of the repertoire for ”professional” mechanics but we hear about so many cases of it on these forums!
