I want to ask a question about why does my Caprice V in Phantom Black has one door ONLY not so glossy like the rest of the car. Yes after I got the car I clay bar it and done everything that it need with waxing and other but the car is 100% shiny except for THAT one rear passengers doors
More Info.
Before I purchased this car I noticed the rear passengers door not to be as shinny like the rest of the car. Now if I take this rear Passengers door off and show everyone they will say whats wrong with it its very shiny but compare it to the rest of the car its 98% shiny not 100% like the rest of the car. No doubt this door has had a ding and been repaired and re painted but you can see the difference between the front passengers door, the front guard and the REAR Quarter Panel..
What do you think the issue is? it has less clear on so not so shiny panel, has not been buffed or other This effected door has the same orange peel like the rest of the car

Have a Look as the Left is ok like the rest of the car but the right is the rear effected door. (PS I had to bend down to get the best pic. Don't worry about the Green thing in the refection)

I can't really see much of a difference in that pic. Is it more obvious in direct sunlight ?

BTW, we are all worried about that green thing in the reflection...me in particular that it isn't getting driven enough.

The same, in sun in flou lights and in shade. I have a sharp eye for this. Again its 98%, the rest of the car is 100%. Yes the Monro has not been driven for 25 years

The Black match is the same, for me it possible has less clear coats on that effected door, well it looks that way or possible different type of clear coating they used on the resprayed door. Only a spay expert will know what the issue is.

I might have to take the car to a Paint specialist After COVID has gone or other to see why that door is not a shiny as the rest of the car. Me things the door has not enough clear coats on it. could be wrong. The rest of the car the Black looks DEEP

Did the car get ceramic coat from new and this resprayed door is normal clear?
Really hard to see and know.

Why was that door ONLY resprayed? An significant damage would require a blend out on adjacent panels.

Yes only that door is not as shiny as the rest of the car. Thank God they did not blend that side of the car and made the car DULLER
