Ever bought a hydraulic jack then found it doesn't come with a rubber bush on the hoist part? So you end up ether destroying the jacking points ie on the VT - VX which is a folded piece of metal or the car slides all over it.
The quick fix for this for VE and VT etc is to buy a $3 rubber mallet from Kmart. Cut the rubber off at the handle and you now have a ready made bush for your jack. You have two actually.
Cut a groove into the one you use for VT-VX and a smaller one for VE.
If necessary file some rubber off the base to make it a tight fit onto the hoist end.

The VE has other jack points for hydraulic jacks. The seam is designed for the stock jack only.

I just use some old thick sock. Use on both by hydraulic jack and chassis stands.

They will only compress so much.

Yep agree with all those comments except never been game to put a hydraulic jack under the diff or under the front stabiliser bar.

Yep use a block of wood etc but once that diff housing cracks or you bend that bar you will soon go back to the jacking points.... :)

But why don't the jack suppliers supply a damn rubber bush!!!
