Hmm, well it was all working perfectly, but this morning when I drove my car to work I noticed the L/100k wasn't working. Inst was always on 0.0 and the fuel usage in the trip meter wasnt working. The odo and everything else works fine, except the KM left keeps increasing (probably because it sees it not using any fuel but doing lots of KM.. lol)

Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking it could be as simple as a dodgy wire.. did this happen to anyone else?

Cheers,
Dave

The Lt Blue wire to the tank sender unit made my DTE=0.

Goes from trip computer to the tank.

I'd start with that.

Hey thanks for the reply, the DTE works on mine, and also when I put the cluster into diagnostic mode, the fuel sender voltage is read out, so I'm starting to think it's not a dodgy wire but an internal fault?

Opps, Instant not DTE - My bad.

In diagnostic mode the cluster should show the fuel flow - I think it was 1.5 L/hour or something like it. I'll have a look later today at lunch time see what my car is reading.

Well I found the problem.. it seems when I installed the electric antenna, I bumped the ECU around and somehow broke the join I made for the 4th connector into the ECU, which apparently is for EFI on the cluster (strange that.. lol)

Anyway, all is working perfectly again :)

Oh, I can't believe I never noticed before, but the engine light doesn't seem to work. The bulb is fine, what have I overlooked here? :S

Did you swap the engine light wire around like you do on the vp? I would pull the cluster out and check against the old that the wire is in the same location

look on the back of the cluster it is listed in connector number 1 i think. Look at your original one and check that they are in the same location on both cluster if not move it to suit the level 3 one
