Whoa. Ok this makes some sense then.

So the story here is that early VY and Then VY2 had the recovery point in the bumper support bar.

However. People were ripping the bar off when recovering using the eyebolt provided. (I have an eye bolt for mine)

So. Yours being an ‘04, maybe this is factory and your support bar had (if it’s was replaced) or has the threaded nut welded to the support bar? Or VY never had that, and as part of improving the weakness, they added the reinforcement there on early VZ?

Then on later VZ just said fk it and did away with the feature. The two slots in the Kframe are a good recovery point.

Those are not on my ‘05 and the support bar is a standard one.

I am also interested in that plastic component you have there. I bought left and right as mine didn’t have them, however they don’t really seem to fit though. I was thinking they were HSV inserts?

All VY and VZ Adventras have the little cover in the front bar for the recovery eyelet. However after 05 they deleted it behind.

I saw a bar last week, didn't say anything because of distance.

Reminded me more of a truck bullbar. ;)

Hey, can you post a picture of the whole plastic bar support thing?
I want to compare it to what I have.

The bar cover is back on but hopefully it will be back off again in the next few weeks. I can take pics and get part numbers then.
