My car hasnt been driven or started in two weeks. I went to unlock my car this morning with the remote and it wouldn't unlock so i used the key, the alarm didn't even sound. I tested the battery with the multimeter only 2 volts!!

The age of the battery is unknown I do have a dashcam that may have been running my question is could the dash cam have caused this in only just 2 weeks or is my battery needing replacement?

Cheers

Yea dash cam could've caused this. I would replace the battery plates are likely covered in sulfate now and you won't get it all to sluff off.

Yep replace it.

Look at getting a power magic pro, it will turn the dashcam off at a certain time or battery voltage preventing total discharge.

If your're going to park it up for weeks at a time, buy a smart trickle charger like a CTEK MXS 5.0. Once charged, it reaches 'float' mode where it just keeps the battery topped up nicely even If you have parasitic drain like a dashcam.

Just replace it and if the vehicle is not used a lot purchase a charger at the same time.
You might be interested in considering top of the range by Ernirgi battery as I did.
