VN V6, nothing special
If you dont know how to use a jack then you obviously dont know how to fix anything underneath....
Common sense should be used when working on cars and people who are to lazy to look on youtube, google or a car manual on how to jack up a car properly, then they deserve what they get for beng lazy.
And also, never get under a car only supported by a jack...... simple

Perfect slogan is "dont be stupid, stupid"

DIY safety campaign – thanks

Dear poll & thread respondents,

A big thanks to all who provided feedback – several of your comments and suggestions were very insightful in helping us to engage with those who do DIY vehicle maintenance. Also, it was interesting to note the kinds of conversations this has generated.

In the end, after extensive slogan testing (incl. beyond this forum), the chosen slogan was: “Don’t be a jackass with jacks”. If you’d like to join the campaign and help ensure DIY vehicle maintenance safety, please email [email protected] and we will keep you in the loop as the campaign progresses.

Thanks again everyone for your contributions!

Stay safe…

that slogan wont stick..

TBH, you can't fix them.. You get safety conscious people (like myself) that wont do anything without stands or ramps, and then you get people that jump under with the stock jack under it..

There are labels on every jack saying not to hop under without a stand..

Could do those motivational posters with a picture of someone crushed under a car and the tagline would be:

Jacking: You're doing it wrong.

Or, go the same route as cigarettes and put pictures of disfigured jacking accident victims on them.

Of the actual slogans, the last one seens the most appropriate...

Bit of Darwinism at work really isn't it. I don't like getting under any car and I always use stands and shake the **** out if it before I get under and if a wheel comes off that goes under the car too. 4 axle stands is a bit wobbly for my liking too so I try to only have the front or the back up at any 1 time.

I think " think before you lift" is already taken too

If I need to have all 4 off the ground, Ill either put a set of ramps at one end, or lift the wheels up, and then sit them on the face of a set of stockies..
