Faulty Switch ?
Losse connector on the bottom of it ?
Sensor Fault
Best get it scanned to see what DTC code has been created.

+1 on the MAF issue. A dying MAF will also trigger this. You get a random “ESP off”, stays on until the ECU is reset or codes are cleared, then it comes back after a while. Check your fuel trims to confirm MAF issues. You can attempt a MAF clean first but if it’s on its way out, it will come back.

a disconnected MAF will trigger a P0100 or P0113.

A MAF on its way out will cause a P0507 (high idle) when the degradation gets significant.
