Hi all, i just got a new project. It's a Hyster H50XL forklift. I cant find a year model on it but i am guessing early 80's as it has a gas plate that's stamped 1983.
There is no forward or reverse, it's an auto. I want to change the tranny oil as it's low anyway and i have drained it to see if there was anything in the strainer. I googled the problem and found out about the strainer(it was dirty but i don't think enough to stop oil going through it).
I need to know the correct oil and filter to put on it, also the amount of oil. The oil filter on it doesn't have a number on it. I have found what i believe is the correct oil for it either JD40 or Trantrac9. I don't know the makers of either of these oils and cant find a cross reference. There are no forklift dealers near me.
Any help finding what i need will be most appreciated.
