front discs on a vt v6 1999

hi

do you need a inpact screwdriver to remove the front discs?

You only need a socket set mate. Remove the calliper and bracket. If the disc does not slide off you can use a flat head screw driver in the side vents of the disc to help rock it free.

He is obviously referring to an IMPACT Screwdriver which is a screwdriver that you hit with a hammer.

Inside the screwdriver is a cam type arrangement which causes force in the direction required in order to remove or tighten a screw. They are used mainly on large phillips screws.

They have been around since before Adam ate the apple.

let me rephrase the question

on a Vt V6 1999 is there two phillips head screws which need to be removed attaching the disc to the hub by using a impact screwdriver ?
as the most replacements discs have threads and countersinks for screw heads.

or i'm I looking at the wrong replacement parts (discs)

The disc is only held on by the wheel (and caliper).There is no philips head screws. There is also no "threads and countersinks for screw threads" on the disc's.

Looking at wrong replacement part = yes.
