The throttle body is knackered

If your partners ‘07 VE is also a V6, unbolt and unplug his throttle body and switch it with yours. Once swapped, clear the code/s and start the car

Undo the hose clamp which secures the air duct, unplug the wiring connector and remove the 4x 10mm bolts. The gasket in between the throttle body and the inlet manifold can be reused, provided it’s in good condition (no rips, tears etc)

A genuine replacement throttle body are around $300

I had something similar which kick started me learning some pretty deep stuff about how the VZ works.

I don’t think I could really nail down the fault finding to any one thing. I replaced the throttle body which stopped that code but what if that wasn’t the problem? At the time she was throwing codes like it was a sport.

can your scan tool display live data
look for voltage ranges
most sensors are 5v, and operate from 0,5v to 4.5v
and computer voltages
Not sure which one is the voltage data as I’m fairly new to this so I just took pictures of all of it

Was there anything else that you did that could help?

There was loads but it was on my VZ. Same motor, different engine management system.

Get a hold of the factory manual. There are free download links here on the forum. It will have the fault guides for every fault code. A walkthrough to diagnose.

What you can do:
You can clean all the earths in the engine bay (disconnect negative terminal on the battery first. Metho and scotchbrite as a shonky alternative to CO Contact Cleaner and 1000grit wet and dry sandpaper. Make sure they are all tight afterwards

Clean all the plugs with CO Contact cleaner. Wait until dry and reconnect. If you have access to compressed air, use that in the plugs on the harness too. You can buy a can of compressed air at Jaycar.

Minimal cost (CO Contact cleaner, small wire brushes, scotchbrite, can of compressed air) jobs that can rule out another cause.

Probably time to take it to a Holden service centre. They have better diagnostic equipment than most places. You may find the ECM is on its way out. It's relatively common issue with the V6 VE.
