Look at your compliance plate, or at your rego papers, if it's an ex cop car it'll be a BT1.

ALso the speedo has exact incriments on the dash too.......little dashes between the actual speed.

It'll be thrashed, have the mudflaps either destroyed or ripped offf, the back seat will reek of the dole line, the front seat will reek of coffee and maccas, and you'll regret the day you paid money for it...

Blood on the rear seat from where the coppers bash the bad guys.

Oh, and don't forget the "cop chip".

how to tell
depends on range and if it is a sedan or wagon
a SS or a Crewman or adventra
they have diff codes not like older VH to VL BT1 code

i have all the codes over the whole rage up to VE

VT = executive sedan n wagon = 9C1, SS sedan (A/T) = A8V 824, SS sedan (supercharged V6 A/T) = A8V & 834,
SS sedan (5.0 M/T) = A8V & 825, SS sedan (5.7 M/T) = A8V & 826
and a VT Taxi sedan = A9T

VX = executive sedan n wagon = 9C1, SS sedan (A/T) = A8V 824, SS sedan (supercharged V6 A/T) = A8V & 834,
SS sedan (5.0 M/T) = A8V & 825, SS sedan (5.7 M/T) = A8V & 826
