Hey All,

I have a speedo and odometer that isn’t working or not connected.

Where do I begin?

Can someone give advice on what to check and what I might need to get to sort this out?

Is it better in an Auto electrician’s hands? Or is this something that I can do myself?

Keen to get it sorted.

Thanks

Wow that is a cheap fix...unscrew vss & fit aftermarket cable.

Keep forgetting about th700 as rarely see them now...mostly 4l60e that need vss to work lol

Did speedo stop working or it has never worked & never been looked at properly?

im assuming this is an early t700 with the drive output on the side, or the later VR VS with the sensor on the side ?

It's been about 25 years since the vp v8 and turbo 700 was fitted to my vh. I'm pretty sure I had to get a right hand adaptor to fit into the gearbox.

This is what I see under left hand side - looks like a connection coming from the driven gear housing. It then connects to another white connector of some sort.

Caa as n anyone confirm what’s doing here. Sorry - just still learning this all.

Any help is appreciated.

I’m not entirely sure (still learning this all trying to fix things from the past and unknown) I have attached a picture for reference. Would be great to see what you think is going here?
Cheers
