I realise VN's have a different type of gear changer, is it possible to put a changer from a later model Commy into an earlier model?

hey just wanna know does ne1 know how 2 take the shifter surround out itself? and do they have pics or detailed info on how 2 take it out? i am trying 2 get 2 the lights inside the shifter surround as im changing the original green colour 2 a diff collour? can ne1 help or show me a thread from somwhere??

Anyone know how to fit the Chrome HANDBRAKE button?

I had to replace a split handbrake knob on my Calais. It's only plastic though. Pull the cover up, remove it and the knob just unscrews. I had a silver ring around the end of the lever which was also split but I didn't bother replacing that. It just clips on too. Cost about $10.00
