Identity Tags SV6 post July05

I have recently purchased an SV6 (1 month ago) which came out of the factory in September 2005.
I noticed that I do not have the Identity tags near the driver and passenger indicators (normally says V6 Alloytec190 )
I contacted a dealer and they reckon that all vehicles manufactured after July05 do not have these, and they are $25 each to buy (ie $50 for both)
I have not really seen any other vehicles without them.
Has anyone else seen this or know what the story is?. :whistling

I have a 09/05 build SV6 too and it also doesnt have the "Alloytec 190" badging. Only the Calais gets it now I think.
From what I've seen/been told this happened somewhere between Feb/Jul 05 with the 05 Upgrade to all SV6's.

If you look at the pics of SV6's on the holden website you'll notice they dont have the badges either.

the same thing happened to me.
i went one day before i picked up my car and i noticed they were not on the car.because they were detailing the car i thought they were going to put them on last.
when i got home i noticed that they were not on so i rang the service center and he told me that they decided to leave them off because customers told them it looks better without them. mine was built on the end of september

Saves me from removing them myself

Easier to clean the car without badges.

I ws told by the service guy that to save on cost they have removed all that badging except as someone had mentioned to the upper class cars. This is also why they dont have the protective runner along the sides.
My dads Acclaim has them.
