If you had 15 grand to get a car, what would you ge/do?

Try buy a house for $150,000.. Spyper was on the mark..

But yeah, he is spending it on a car. Just which car is the issue. He will also have full comp insurance, it's unwise for a P plater not to have it..

Dad wants him to get as late a model car as possible. Like a 2-3 year old VY Exec, doesn't trust cars more then 4 years or 80,000km.. I reckon bargains can be found..

Give me 150 grand and I'll buy you a 3 bedroom brick house. It wont be in Melbourne but not everyone lives in a huge city you know and you don't need 10% for a deposit anyway

You need 5% for a deposit officially but most banks would want 10..

Now he's thinking he won't get a car at all. Because 15 grand is a lot of money and he doesn't have a love for cars, it's just A to B..

So he'll mooch of my parents and me.. And probably spend the money on a stereo (he's an all out muso)..

I don't like this, it means I don't get a Calais for spare parts or a manual at my disposal.. But I'll see how he goes..

You may even be able to get a turbo skyline from japan as an import, for that price. A friend of a friend brought a turbo for 13k from over ther eand all it had was a damaged front end not hard to fix, engine was sweet as !

A lot of those cars are ex-drifting cars.. I personally wouldn't trust one..

They may not all be dodgy, but not for me.. I wanna smell, touch, taste, feel the car first..
