So I did a thing today. Haven't figured out if it's a bad or really bad thing. Bought sight unseen other than than a few pics online.

I'll pick it up in the next few days and I'll post a few pics of my rescue.

Apparently it drives well but has a blow head gasket and it's on LPG. Plan is to drive it home across Auckland, fix what ever is wrong and use it as a daily work hack for a bit and a spare car for my boy to use. It has a current WOF and rego so that is a good thing...

I'm feeling inspired by VGG and Finnegans Garage/Road Kill.....

She's fairly rough, povo pack base model exec with no bells and whistles. Even has wind up windows :)

The very first job will be to rip out the LPG **** as it will hinder future plans. the AC compressor may get turfed too, this fat bitch is going to need to loose some weight.

Ohh, yes. Some Chaser rims. Definitely staying on steelie wheels.

No cruise or abs. I think it wont worry you about having no traction.
Series 2?

Are there bets the blown head gasket is a blown LIM gasket...:)

Hopefully it only has a few minor problems to be fixed and then happy days cruising

Brave man, looks a little scary. The colour of most steel bits in the engine bay seems to say it's been a while since the cooling system had anything other than pure tapwater in it. Hope it is a long, happy and fairly painless relationship.
