Completed my IQ upgrade about 2 weeks ago. All went well no issues with install or IQ unit. GPS works. Just need to get a reversing camera for it and it'll be complete.

Nice job . I sanded all the grey paint off my trim and painted it black then sprayed it with about 5 coats of clear sanding between coats with 1500 wet and dry finishing with cutting compound .

big upgrade to a S1 with no colour screen!

i just upgraded my E1 Senator to E3. sound quality is MUCH better, and being able to control my phone is great.
was a little disappointing when my 2011 Omega sounded better than my 2008 Senator, IQ sorted that out though.

Nice job man. Where did you buy the kit from. I have been thinking about doing the same in my SV6 because the original stereo is ****.

nice work. I got a grey trim on my IQ system too. but after a few months it doesn't bother me anymore. and I vinyl wrapped the silver strips to keep the whole dash looking black / dark. i used this reverse cam, was pretty easy to install. only downside is it puts a second set of reverse lines on the screen, which is a bit annoying http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-CCD...042697?hash=item27f4752609:g:CYUAAOSwj0NUl6dY

Pretty much everything that comes from Ebay has builtin parking lines so you will have double ups.

I get mine custom fabricated, same style but without the builtin guidelines. Let me know if thats of interest

I used the QC3532 for $50 from jaycar. Spun it round used the top left number plate screw, and cut the lead and ran in via a grommet behind the number plate, rejoin and ran to IQ.

Grabbed power from Reverse lamps to run camera.

Easy stuff

awesome upgrade for a series 1
did you just buy a series 2 IQ kit,
remove the old install the new?
then you would need some one to program the connection of the new to the car?
or is there more to this?
