Is it worth spending $5k on a v6, I already have, or converting my one tonner to LS1

would it be worth spending five grand on my 6 cyclinder or converting to LS1 or better??? how many KW can I get out of a 6? Any advise appreciated.

New question, is the engine original? If you don't Wonna go original, go LS1. If you want power, do mods that arnt noticeable and gets the gains you want.

Everyone does the conversion for power. Keep it looking nice and original and you'll be sweet.

Feed the Ecotec some boost & it can make some decent power, with a proper intercooler & a good tune it can last some time as well.

No it wouldnt.

Sell your car, you can buy a stock VT LS1 for less than $5k these days.

You might get $3k for your car.

So you now have $8k.

Spend 5-$6k on the purchase, put the other 2 into mods (exhaust and tune) and you will have the same amount of power as if you spent $15k on a 6.

My ls1 got 240rwkw with otr, exhaust and tune roughly $2300 on a 140,000km old engine
