Hey guys/girls,
have been having a few issues logging in this morning.

Every time I try to log in I get this message,

Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

Now I know that my keyboard skills are crap at the best of times, but I do know how to type my username and password!

I did the whole password reset thing and same thing happened.
Then I got this email twice.

Dear Decicrate,

Someone has tried to log into your account on Just Commodores with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 108.162.249.243

All the best,
Just Commodores

So did a bit of stuffing around with mates accounts and guess what, the same thing for all of their accounts off my server.
Seems a little strange to me as it now seems to be IP based not user based.

I wouldn't mind if someone could have a look into this.

Not a great problem as I have multiple servers that I can use to still log in from (hence being able to log in and post) but it does seem a little fishy that the issue is related to my server IP.

Looking forward to seeing what the issue is!!!

Cheers

Im having a similar issue not on the pc, but on tapatalk.
Because my username and password are saved, it logs me in automatically.
However, even thought the username and password is correct, the notice is displayed on the first instance I try to view the forums.
"Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive."

Sometimes, I will be able to get in via tapatalk, sometimes the forum will deny me access.
I am not very keen on logging myself out on the PC for this to happen to me on the computer, as the username and password is saved on this as well.

I never save passwords or get the browser to "remember" me.
I always prefer to log in manually each time.

Does not matter how long I wait same thing still happens.

Happened to me most of yesterday on Tapatalk. Notice website went down for a short while early in the morning Monday i think and issues after that.

Failed login attempts, came from Cloudfare(spelling) in the US for the IP, phone was even off for 7hrs and when logged back into phone, still had issues.
Also ditched me yest on work web browser.

Glad to see i wasnt the only person

Hmmm wonder if someone is brute forcing looking for passwords or if they are trying to block the site.

It just seems strange that it was an IP issue from the user end as I could not use my normal static IP, but once I used one that I do not generally use I had no issue logging on.
We might be lucky and the admin may just let us know what they found.

Sorry about the delay on this guys.

I had responded via email the other day and have looked into this a little.

Basically as you can recall with the DDoS protection the traffic from my understanding is now routed through Cloudfare which basically shows up with the range listed above, this has its downsides but as a whole appears to have done the trick in terms of stabilising the site.

JC is still being hit daily, yesterday alone a total of 3,936 threats and 256 unique threats. As suggested above what I suspect is occurring is spammers or robots are trying accounts and locking them out, there certainly has been a few of these recently.

Changed my IP address and now works.
