Can anyone suggest some upgraded diff gears that will not affect my hwy ks in 6th gear all that much
Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
. I'm just after some diff gears at the moment I already got the cam done through Oztrack cheers anyhowsfor what its worth come to canberra and do it at jakes performance, he is an encyclopedia with the ls1!! but heard nothing but good stuff from oztrack and also bta motorsports
do u know how the freeway driving is with the 4.11s I'm looking at doing a couple trips to qld next year hence the reason I'm after gears that are good for hwy driving in 6th gear cheers4.11'soke:
cheers got the info, the z grip is great once u get used to it, only really shudders when ur on a full lock, for the first week it felt like it wanted to spring back at u but I think once it is worn in it gets better just got to remember to hold the revs up alittle more, but other than that u really like this clutch would recommend this clutch to anyone that is also doing power upgrades hope I could help4.11's will be ok on the highway, my ss has a manual box, 3.9's and 20's and it sits on just under 2000rpm at 100kph. 4.11's wont rev much higher.
op how do u find the z grip clutch? is it overly grabby/shudderey etc?
honestly I'm not too worried about diff gears I'm more just curious to see the differences between 3.7s, 3.9s and 4.11s on the freeway as I do go for long drives couple times a year but I will be getting diff done after Xmas hopefully, ur flat mate he's the one with ute turbo killer cam?Yeah my flatmate also just bought 4:11's and a full spool.
Full spool was about $900 form a place in Vic and not sure bout the diff gears.
No point worrying about fuel economy now mate, you're in over your head so just enjoy it wile you can
