Video on the dyno went in yesterday for some more tuning had an issue with water leaking onto dissy causing spark to break down. We figure the headgasket is leaking so it got retorqued today and we'll see if leak continue otherwise itll means heads comes off after heathcote this friday doesnt have the issue driving as we figure the air is blowing it back away from dissy.

Also installed a spool yesterday into spare diff bushes are getting done in new control arms and will going in before heathcote. Was getting a locker but theres a 6 weeks wait on them so we got a spool to get it hooking up in time for drags.

Oh power is up to 285rwkw but spark issue is holding it back also boost fluctuate above 14psi due to wastegate spring only being a 7 psi so after drags we'll put the 14psi spring in and bleed off from there

Its a good look thats for sure planning on running hubcaps at drag if allowed unfortunetly visor and lovours have to be removed.

New diff with 3.27 gears and minspool is getting put in as i type. Brakes get bled and big job for me tomorrow night is making a side pipe from end of dump out under the drivers door just for shits and giggles hoping for some massive flames and some good noise :p

Then friday morning tidy a few things up if needed then about 10am we're heading to heathcote be going on trailer in sleeper spec.

Oh yeah seems re torque of head studs has doen the job not leaking fluid atm hope it holds up till after the drags

That's awesome! - good luck to your mate! - hopefully the weather is good!

They let me run with hubcaps at Heathcote, but cracked the sh!ts when I shot one off mid-burnout :p bring some zip ties or something to permanently attach them?

Any plans for ignition? MSD box or AU coils or something? - what's it running for management?

running wolf 3D V4 ecu standard dissy and a mw? ignitor ICE ignition leads and msd coil. Was considering going coil packs but jim mock has a 9 sec EA running dissy so he stayed with that. We got told by the tuner that an XE/F dissy are better to run due to the way they work with the wolf ecu. Something about you have to retard the dissy because of the hall effect signal. Pete should know as he use to work for wolf. So that'll be one uprade in future and probably a bigger/better ignitor.

Weather looks ok at this point cold very cold considering we're camping there but mostly fine with little to no rain.

As for zip ties we'll be birnging plenty of that duct tape and spare headgaskets all you need to fix an e series :p

Biggest worry will be the auto its built but the limit they say is 350kw and its pushing that now

WEll we're back from fordforum drag nationals. Got to run with visors on but unfortunetely hubcaps were down to 1 before we got the so no hubbies thsi time.

Weelend started out badly on friday night
First run was a 17.86 came back to pits no boost blown intercooler piping off

2nd run 14.33 some boost but not pulling hard had a look another blown intercooler pipe. Replaced some clamps re-tightened

3rd run 12.07 now thats more like it

4th run 12.07 good

5th run 12.00 flat so cloe

6th run 13.4 slipping auto

Saturday was a great day didnt start put too well auto stuck in 3rd and only managed a 13.44 again. So back to pits took put a 1lt gearbox fluid and got back out there

2nd run 11.77 @ 126.23 mph
3rd run 11.88 @ 124 mph
4th run 11.49 @ 121 mph
5th run 11.68 @ 122 mph (knocked out in dyo dialed in a 11.40)

So that was how it went pity we got knocked out in dyo but we had no real basis for where to dial in it just kept getting quicker.

Plenty of other cars were consistant, consistantly slow :p in fact besides 4 dedicated drag cars (talking capri's cortina escort and xb's) PSIPOP was making lunch of everything out there besides 3 new fg's with the 335kw motor and one G6ET.

Cheers Tim We're pretty much had a perfect weekend nothing broke car was ultra reliable loves bouncing off 6500rpm limiter :p our goal for weekend was to run 11's and we did that so hopefully by september we'll be going back and run 10's by then we'll have the black ed turbo going and running 11's.

Ultimate goal would be 9's before maybe moving driveline into a cortina and run 8's.

It all depends on plenty of factosr but next step is 10's and in reality its not far off bit more power and a bigger stall it'll make easy 10's

If it gets defected it'll be turned into a dedicated drag car with a look at possible targa type racing
