Is a ute rear view mirror the same as sedan?
Do I need new guide pin bolts when changing disc pads?

Mirrors are the same

No need to replace the bolts....Just grease the slide pins up so they slide easily

Cheers. Got a vt mirror, got used to it curious at first. Pins were a bit hard to source and about 50 bucks, so reuse is fine.

In the early days if you bought a set of pads via Holden P&A department you received a set of 4 bolts with red Loctite compound on them.

They were considered as a single usage bolt, but time has proven that you just lift the caliper off it's anchor mounts and replace the pads that way, thus not undoing the slide bolts as suggested in their service literature.

In actual fact I've never undone those bolts as I always separate the two halves of the caliper and clean the slides and reapply new Synthetic Bendix Caliper Slide grease at pad change intervals.
