Demand for the V6 models has just about got to be non-existent, hasn't it? I'd imagine people are keenly buying the V8s before it's all over, but I can't imagine many people being that desperate to own an SV6 or a Calais V6.

On fuel economy, seeing as it's been topical lately: we travel Canberra to Sydney (Liverpool) a lot and the best I ever saw from our VE SS was 8.7l/100km on the way there. Higher on the way back because you're climbing hills. I'll be interested to see what our Redline does.

Interestingly, our Cruze SRi (1.6 turbo) can only get down into the 7.5-ish range for the same trip. My Toyota 86 (2.0 n/a in a lightweight car) is in the low sevens. So I think a much larger car with a much bigger engine is doing really well to be in the 8s and 9s for that trip.

Just like last June and for many EOFYs ....except unlike previously, not accompanied by a generous discount as far as I can see. Sign of the times.....post Oct20 that is.

Have been stalking this site for a little while now gathering as much info about these cars before we picked ours up.

We ordered our LMF Redline in early March with a late May Delivery. We picked it up 2 weeks ago.

We have since personalized it a little to our taste. Just waiting on window tint later this week.

Went with xyz coil overs so I could adjust the height to my liking. The ride feels a little firmer, but still pretty good. This is my wifes car and she is pretty happy with the way it rides aswell. The kids did complain about it being a little bouncy in the rear, but I played with the rebound and this seems to have sorted it out.

I was at my dealership Saturday picking up centre caps. Got talking to sales manager and saw a black 17 ssvr 82k. The sales manager a good guy, i said your dreaming mate, he said ppl already have gone to 79k, but it wont leave under 82k he says

Its fully optioned though, with the w407 pack. Having said that 82k is almost r8 lsa money i think. I like the ssvr, but i know what id buy

Soz didn't know about the 407. No comparison though, the Clubby every day of the week.

Popped past my dealer this arvo, and they have two gts-r's sitting on the floor, one in red, and one in LMF, i wouldn't mind stealing the brake and wheel pack from these....
