Go to Autobarn and try a POD filter unit I have. Made by Autotechnica and has a polished Aluminium pipe. Cost $300. Look on E-Bay, you can find the same unit for $250 as well. Great unit, can't recommend it high enough!

Unfortunately for you, the gains from an OTR will be better end of story! If you can't afford to pay the extra then yes, I'd recommend a pod filter. But it won't come close to a good quality OTR. I picked up 55rwkw with an OTR and MAFless tune. You might get better flow but you're still sucking in warm air from behind the head light.

100%. Went from 209rwkw to 242rwkw with otr and tune. best bang for buck for an LS1 by far.

Still not as good as an OTR. I went from 181rwkw to 247 rwkw with otr and tune!

Not really. I would say it was reading low without the tune. 240 rwkw is really the norm these days for an exhaust,OTR & tune. I am pretty sure it was Brad from Enhanced that had one over 260rwkw. This was verified on another workshops dyno when the owner called BS.
