Even if the MAF isn't plugged in or not working the car should still start and run, it'll just give you an error beep and run rich? .

exactly like i think & said that .. what is the releashionship between foundation of maf in intake and running of car ??

no releashion at all .. if no there or not work maf the car will run ..

Pretty sure you cannot remove the sensors out of the MAF and fit them inside the CAI, the MAF uses sensors that detect certain resistances in airflow but need to be inside the specially cased housing.

it doesn't look like you have the maf connected in those pictures, MAF should have around 4-7 wires (not sure exactly) and that sensor in the picture looks like the IAT, if your not meant to use the maf then you probabley need the computer tuned to not use the MAF sensor and use something else like MAP or the other sensors.

If the MAF is removed it will run very poorly in some instances the car will not run/idle.

Is the car cranking over?

Please use a little better english as im finding it hard to understand you.

basically, NO MAF + CAI = NO RUN, NO MAF + Computer Tune + CAI = RUN

the maf is a important part of the car. im fairly sure the vz v6 is not like the ls1 that has a second fuel table to fall back on to.

if the maf is not there then the computer can not set the maps needed to run. i could be wrong but i know with my wagon i couldnt just unplug the maf. it would stall the minute i did that. it wasnt till i got my tune done that i could unplug the maf.

Just to clarify.
The IAT on the Alloytec is
integrated into the MAF.

Reinstall the "old" intake plumbing
and see if you car will start then.

From what i can see and read, the maf has been pulled apart and reinstalled into the OTR.

To the OP, try removing the OTR all together and just having the maf plugged into the loom and mounted in front of the intake, if this starts the GOODY. If it doesnt then there is something wrong with it.

You said it starts with the original intake pipe, are you doing anything different to the maf, such as removing the inside of it
