Hi guys had my SV6 for about 6 weeks and just got a powertrain indicator light come up does any1 know what may cause this as there is nothing in the owners manual

Quite a few things can cause this but you need to do a scan to see what codes come up to find out what is wrong

Sometimes it can be simple as low battery charge (i.e might need a new one) however best to have it scanned to see what error codes it may be throwing..

Sometimes the "check engine light" will come on if there is a problem with the oxygen sensor. Another is worn brushes in the alternator. But there are a lot of things that can cause this indicator to come on, and so—
...Get a techie to hook up a scanner and work through any fault codes (old and new) that may come up. Anything else is just speculation. The scanner will pick up any fault codes logged by the ECU, including the immobiliser.
