after taking off the manifold I found what can be described as a DISASTER

coolant inside the engine

oil inside with coolant

I can't say what was the problem exactly both surfaces of the manifold and engine are clean and smooth

my friend said because I put TOO MUCH sealant in the corners with wrong type of sealant (a vary hard sealant)

that's why the gasket did not seal the manifold as it should

I can't find an explanation other than that

Buy some cheap oil and change it a couple of times before putting a new filter in and some decent oil.

What sealant did you use? This time around, try permatex ultra blue or ultra black. It's great stuff.

I hope you are separateing the manifolds, upper from lower this time so you can torque it down properly. Hope it goes well for you.

I will do both oil and coolant flush

I used Mitsubishi genuine sealant with grey color

it will become hard as a stone after using

I did do that and I found some teared O rings for the injectors!!

I will have to replace them along with the gaskets because they are damaged also by the sealant

looks like the job is not yet finished after all

well I only used sealant in the four corners.
a friend of mine suggested to add sealant on the whole surfaces like you said.
but is that a right thing to do ??
I haven't seen anyone doing sealant for the whole surfaces.
Of course you need to put a bead of sealant COMPLETELY around it. Or it would create an uneven mating surface‍♂️

I did my intake manifold gaskets a year ago and haven't had any problems no oil in radiator at all now. You said you cleaned the sealing surfaces well if it has rust or caked on scum which mine did cleaning with just a rag and petrol etc won't remove this you will need to carefully scrape it off or sand it off mine had a thin layer of rust on the cylinder head where it seals and the only way i could remove it was by sanding it off i spent atleast a good 2 hours making sure it was perfectly smooth.

16nm is fine, the plastic/alloy gaskets are fairly soft. You need to use some sort of thread locker or sealant on the bolts to stop them coming loose with time.
This is what i'm worried about with mine i didn't use any thread locker only used permatex high performance sealant do you think that would be enough to stop them coming lose?

That should work. I've used it too.
