try appplying some WD 40 1st....top and bottom.........clean out the allen key hole of debris as well........( a bit late shutting the gate after the horse has bolted, i know....)....

I have taken the seats out of lots of commodores and this advice is the best. I spray them the night before and then I have had no issue getting them out. They are loctited from the factory (blue on the bolt) but once you crack that they are easy with the right tools. (the correct allen key and a pipe and gently apply pressure)

i put a big bar over the allen key to give me more leverage on it. its a painstaking job cos those threads just seem to go one forever and are pretty tight the whole way out. make sure you have a decent allen key and have it seated all the way in the head of the bolt so its less likely to strip it. if you find it hard to break the loctite give the bar and allen key a tap with a hammer to get it started.

if the carpet gets flooded, you have to remove the front seats to get it out to dry it

All you need to do is put on the inside leg of S2 Vl Rails (and the bracket on pax side) onto VR/VS seats, VT has a different setup and needs brackets made...and theoretically egineering.

Is there a site with pics for this? Could easily get some VS seats to put in the VL. While im at it, would i be able to put a VS steering wheel into my VL?

I just finished watching the Top Gear Botswana special.Apparently they were able to dissamble the magority their cars, inlcuding the removal of the front and rear seats, with nothing more than a hammer.:whistling

you would have to swap the rails on the vx seats with the vl ones and you wouldnt be able to get the electrics too work, but there is a spot on the electrics seats to put the winders on so u can still move the back rest
