Haha I was just pulling the piss.. Never really paid attention.. But yeah grommets must just be so you don't have ugly holes staring at ya..

There is a boot lip spoiler that will plug the holes though..

Pretty sure the Senator lip spoiler does.

I had a look and my apologies, you are right.

I still wouldn't just leave two holes there though. (I wouldn't even have grommets but that's just me..)

Yeah I know guys :)

I'm just saying its not 100% nessacery to use grommets. The Senator spoiler will cover both holes but be carefully as the Calais and G8 boot lip only covers one hole

I had the same problem except I could use black grommets to cover them ugly holes and pull it off because my car is black haha, I have resorted to a bob tail spoiler I found on eBay from a Australian company who makes fibre glass spoilers and it is designed to bolt straight on the the original 4 holes

Link? It's not the JHP senator-style wing is it?

I say leave the spoiler on or get a new boot.. or get it welded and bogged.. u dont want your boot looking like mine.. looks cheaps and devalues the car imo. but u can get grommets from
Clarke rubber for about 60c each.. these grommets weren't bad no water ever got in.. even with high pressure spray at the car wash.

luckily I welded it and bogged it and getting it sprayed this weekend.. :)

yeah ended up getting them from clark rubber on the weekend, and painted with some touch up paint, I'm happy with it. In the pic it looks like u have them in upside down? Normally the flat part would be exposed, doesn't look anywhere near as bad. Also the marks left from the spoiler will polish away easily, mine have disappeared. Plus the VE only has 2 holes each side '-) For Future reference I used a 6mm grommet, perfect fit.

for a non-permanent solution I'm pretty happy with that. Wouldnt mind a lip spoiler but the senator one is a) expensive and b) have to lose the rear holden badge. The rest as far as I know dont use the original holes. For know though this looks nice and clean and makes it look a bit lower too. Win!
