- 2007 VE Berlina
Hi all,
I bought my car last Feb, a 2007 VE Berlina. For the first 6 mths everything was ok then the engine light started coming on, took it to the people who put my gas on, (which was about 3 mths after I bought it) they would just say maybe its a bad batch of gas. It happened quite a few times after this, sometimes it would go away by itsself sometimes they would make it go away. Anyway a few weeks back all of a sudden I had ABS fault, Stability Control Off and Engine light coming on all at once. Took it to Holden and they told me it needed full replacement of all brakes, apparently they were so bad that they couldn't even be machined, and something else that I can't remember was also wrong. They were going to charge me $1200. My hubby said no way and we took it to a bakes specialist and he machined them and replaced the brake pads for $440. He said if the lights come back on bring it back. That was about 2-3 weeks ago. Nothing has happened in the last couple of weeks. Until this afternoon, when I was moving my car into my driveway from the road and the ABS light and Stability light came on again.
So what do I do now? Take it back to the brakes guy? Go whinge at Holden? Charge my battery? I'm a little over it all.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Kate.
