pressures

I Work for beaurepaires
and i have done plenty of Tyre technology coarses and this is what ive found.

NOTE: First off remember the tyre placcard on the vehicle is factory fitted
this is the comfort level prescribed by the vehicle manufacturer and is not tyre rated

15'' and 16'' pasanger tyres = 30-32psi

17'' Proformance tyres= 32-35psi

18'', 19'' and 20'' Proformance tyres= 34-36psi

work utes and vans pressure set to 40psi

Now of coarse this is only a guide if you feel its a bit sloppy
you are able to increase these measurements

NOTE: NEVER EXCEED MAX TYRE PRESSURE (located on the side of the tyre)
this is usualy but 50psi

Remember more pressure gives you greater steering response tho can stress the tyres integrity, also there is less give if you hit a pot hole this could cause tyre sepperation (sidewall bubbles) or damage your rims..

NOTE: if you are travaling log distances ie. interstate all measurements should be increased by 4psi this also aplies to fully laden vehicles.

With 4WD

all tyre pressures should be set to 40psi depending on your comfort

Now all these measurments should give you maximum life and proformance
from your tyres...

and yet you can't even spell performance :whistling

Or courses. Or several other words :p

I find every tyre place I go to run tyre pressure that is far too low. They put34 in my 19's!

It might be good for ride comfort, but poor for handling.

Nearly all the tyre pressures are way too low...

I also work for Beaurepairs, I can guarantee I know alot more of tyres then you do
As a floor manager I train my staff to set tyre pressures at

13" and 14" 34psi
15" and 17" 36psi
18" 38psi
19" and 20" 40psi

Even if you are a marketing ploy trying to make people aware of their tyre pressures please give the people the correct information and use a spell checker

yerr ok then

Yeah well you might work at beaurepaires but you obviously
Haven’t done the tyre tech courses.... if you had you would know
That I’m correct...
And that 40 psi in low profile tyres is way above
TYRE MANUFACTURES SPECIFICATIONS
And this can cause serious structural fatigue
Causing separation and or impact fractures

You Can also check out Dunlop/ Goodyears tech on there
There websites and find all this info too

Not that this has anything to do with this though
Just for some random knowledge V8 supercars run 20psi all round
And 15psi if using nitrogen
F1 cars and Indy run 15psi in there tyres

I’ve worked for beaurepaires for 6yrs from
*DUNLOP MOTORSPORTS TYRE TECH (racing)
*FITTER/SALES at CROWS NEST, SYDNEY (retail)
*MANAGER CHATSWOOD, SYDNEY (retail)
*ASSISTANT MANNAGER GOSFORD (commercial)

So yeah I’m sure you know more tho

VL shagon ;)
been working on "proformance" cars for the past 6 years, right? lol

40psi is not above the maximum pressure specified by the manufacturer.

Yes I have done the Talking Tyres and Technology course, ive been working with Beaurepairs for four years now. Running 40psi in 19" and over isn't above the manufactures specs.

Im also a qualified Certificate 3 Underbody Specialist and I have a Certificate in Advanced Wheel Alignment course.
