VE Modification

Just bought a brand new 2012 ve ssv and was wondering how many kilometres blokes usually wait before work can be done on the motor e.g cold air intake, tune, cam , exhaust system..... not to worried about my holden warranty???

i heard 20-30 thousand ks, if nothing has broken or become a problem by that time then go for broke, as there will be a good chance with mods you'll be booting the warranty out the window!!

I've been hearing that Holden sort of pre-run in their engines these days. Maybe if you just lay off the mods for 5000km and let her breathe and move through the rev range then start mods? Save and plan in the meantime?

Mass produced engines don't realy need to be run in. Its still a good idea to run up 5 or so thousand k's and dump the oil as for OTR exhaust and tune you could do that immediately as for cam I'd put 5 or so thousand on it but that's what I'd do.

Run 5000kms than change oil,

Only than do what ever you want.

Running is important when you see what comes "You know what i mean"

If you think you dont need to drop your oilf from a new car and look at colour and metal contant .

Oil is cheap insurance so is running motor in
