Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
It states in the manual not to clog the particulate filterI'm about 99.4% sure that the owner's manual for ALL diesel vehicles requires that, in order to avoid the problem of cats etc getting clogged-up, the operator must
(a) spend at least 20 minutes every month idling outside random residences, between the hours of 11pm & 5am
(b) spend at least 25 minutes every month idling, having reversed into a parking-spot outside a kerbside cafe, while waiting for their coffee

I inadvertently left my VF2 running for about an hour. There was no warning as I walked away with the key fob in my pocket.Oh yes. I think that is the same with Series 2 as well
Just resurrecting this post. I still can't decide and the idea won't go away. Would love everyone's 2 cents. Which grille on a black calais does everyone prefer.I really want one too but the price makes me stumble.
out of interest, which one does everyone prefer on a black carView attachment 215851View attachment 215852
Impossible without replacing bumpers and maybe bonnet.I’m a big fat “don’t really care” … it‘s a little bulbous for my taste either way, I know they did it to look like an Insignia & have “family uniformity” but knowing that doesn’t help me accept the styling.
It’s a total PITA to install the SS or Evoke family grille, innit?
I don't know. What asthetic are you going for? For a real “hell yeah, this is a Calais” I’d go silver. For a more “look at the car isn’t it a beaut” I’d go black.
