One thing Holden can't do is write software. In my VE, I just got fed up with all of the stupidness with its factory audio (and the fact that it kept on dying). So I ripped it out and put an Alpine in. All problems gone.
Not really a solution for the VF as far as I am aware. The only thing i can suggest is to ensure the software on your iPod/MP3 player is as up to date as possible.
I did have a big laugh the other night with the audio. I had a couple of songs on an album which was of unreleased songs. I then asked the car to play it via the voice control. My car happily obliged. and told me in a cheery voice "Now playing new ****". HAHA I made my car swear and it was happy about it. It played the right songs too!
