Hi all,

I'm about to replace front and rear brake rotors on my VF SSV Redline ute for the first time at 62000km, just wondering if anyone has the part numbers for the genuine rotors from GMH, along with the caliper bolts? I've read conflicting reports these need replacing too.

I've got all the part numbers for DBA stuff but want to compare with genuine.

The genuine bolts have a threadlocking compound built in hence the service manual says to replace them every time. Personally I am happy applying threadlocker and reusing them, once the threads on the knuckle and the bolts are cleaned.

The genuine holden bolts are 92139223 for the fronts.
You will also need the pin kit, which is 89047711
Personally I use the acdelco ones
Rear pin kit: Acdelco 18K2026X (check on amazon)
Front pin kit: Acdelco 18K1971X

Thanks mate. Is there a bolt for rears too? In terms of a thread locker, something like Loctite 243 or 262?

BREMBO Front Rotors - 92245928 x 2

Front Caliper bolts for Brembo calipers- 92139223 x 4

Rear rotors to suit brembo - 92287426 x 2 or 92287421 x 2

Rear caliper bolts for brembo caliper- 92139080 x 4.

U don't have to buy new pin kits, just give then a good clean(scrub) and they can be reused.

Any idea why there's two numbers for the rear rotors?

I had GM 92281426 for the rears...

92287421 - used a different supplier to machine the rotors so part # change.

If you want to be 100% sure, go to ur local Holden/GM dealer and get a quote based off your VIN. The quote will/should list the latest part #'s.

As it's a VF2 Redline, don't forget to also check https://www.rockauto.com ... even with shipping stuff from there is often way cheaper than stuff you buy here, which includes stuff which was shipped from here to there in the first place ...

So I ended up buying the genuine rotors from Holden parts, with the help of a mate in the game, so fitted up the new front rotors and Intima SR Pads this morning, no issues. Despite Holden service saying both needed to be replaced immediately, I have done a further 10000km since then, and on inspection the front pads were still roadworthy albeit low.

Went to do the rears, and the pads have even more material on them than the fronts, but was going to replace anyway, but went to put the new Intima SR pads in and they won't fit. Length wise they are about 1mm too long, and just will not fit in the caliper at all. They are the same shape in all respects as the genuine factory ones except the backing plate is ever so slightly larger.

Anyone have any ideas? Manufacturing error or defect? Maybe the factory ones had been filed down a bit?

Not sure what to do... or worst case scenario, what brand of rear pads to buy as replacement?

^ No chance they’ve given you rear pads for a VF1?
