......................

VT to VZ just go thicker non vented rears to aid in repeated stopping performance.
AND... the extra weight!
VT on Commodores are no lightweights (e.g VZ Exec sedan are about 1580kg from memory compared to the lightest VK at 1220)

Drum masters have a residual pressure valve in them.

yes, that thing. I just remember, something doesn't work quite right when changing from one style to the other.

There was a ventilated rear brake setup for the VS from HSV but very rare. The best thing about the later VT style is the much more robust hand brake assembly.

Easy to get front vt brakes but don't see rears sold much on marketplace...not reasonably priced anyway & no decent wreckers left in Sydney.

Ive got Markovr backing plate with modded shoes...missing everything so need to find spings/clips to put back together then vt rear caliper & disc.

Thought about putting them on vp ute whenever do vt front & new diff.

Early HSV’s & some Group A’s had a vented rear rotor & Corvette PBR caliper all bolt on, hard to find now in Australia.

Swapping out to VT rears is not worth the effort IMO, 1250kgs max is all you’re stopping.
