While we are talking paint, does anybody know the color of the 5l rocker covers ??

I have been searching but no luck.

i doubt any one is going to rush up to your car with a factory color book to check your engine cover has the correct shade of red. id just pic one and have at it. you could do sting red code f143. its a clean solid red that runs from '02 to current on commodores....

I stripped a VP that was apparently a Calais to use on my Executive the colour code was 1F075 Marranelo red but was 2 tone. I asked a friend at holden and he confirmed it was Calais but on his data was only listing one colour to that car. how can I tell what the other colour would be.

as far as i know the majority of vp calais's have 4h047 solar silver on the bottoms. ive got one with cardinal red on top and solar on the bottom. ive never actually come across one that wasn't solar silver on the bottom, but im sure some holden guru will correct me.

I aint no guru, but I remember seeing a VP calais in yard in the late 90's when I was looking for the VS and there was a mettalic red over a lighter metallic gold.

Don't know if it was custom at the time but looked stock in every other way.

i think i know the color youre talking about. its a red gold combo on the vn calais. it might be that the first run of the vp calais used the previous model's color scheme. in the back of my head i think ive seen a vp with a lighter colored bottom too but cant be sure.
