VS Calais wheels have "C" stamped

I've got a set of VS Calais wheels, which are in really good condition.
One thing i have noticed is that they have a "C" stamped into the outer lip of the rim.
Has anyone seen this before, if so what does it represent?

Being calais wheels logically I would think
C is for Calais maybe?

if you mean a letter stamp on the outer lip of the rim this is NOT done by holden or oem.

Could be a badly formed circle to indicate the balance point of the rim.
When fitting new tyres, this aligns to the balance dot on the tyre.

Some manufacturers use a circle, some a punch mark or a dot of paint.


Throw up a pic if you want a definite answer.
