g'day, i might replace cas. in my vs. does the large nut screw off left or right handed thread.

I assume you're referring to the harmonic balancer centre bolt? If so, it's a 24mm head and is a normal right hand thread, so unthread anti-clockwise :)

Normal right hand thread for the balancer bolt..You will also need a harmonic balancer puller,a 3 bolt type puller,not the 3 leg type,which can stuff the harmonic balancer.You will aslo need three
1/4 UNF bolts for the puller to bolt to the balancer.The balancer pullers are cheap from places like supercheap etc.

Oh and you'll need a good rattle gun to undo it; they're pretty tight! Alternatively you can use a long breaker bar that extends under the chassis rail and momentarily crank the motor to use its rotating force to undo it. Hope that helps
