Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
I took all the injectors out, there closed but they definitely need a clean, what's the best way to do that ?I'll PM you.
Lucky the rear main housing gasket didn't split from coolant to oil.
Better off buying a new rear main housing.
I'd remove the radiator and chemically clean it. Also foward and reverse flush it and give the fins a good clean.
What brand gasket set did you get?
I'd change majority of the ECU sensors and give the engine a good, clean tidy up.
Clean the injectors of carbon deposits too and check the PCV valve.
I usually clean carbon clogged injectors with kerosene and a bronze wire brush. The best way is to get them professionally cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.
I can't remember what my VRS kit cost me, but that sounds alright.
Yeah, water in the inlet of the radiator from the thermostat, and water in the outlet of the radiator to the timing cover pipe. Give the radiator a good flush in both pipe ends.
That's the one.
The Ecotec's are a pretty strong engine if you take care of them properly (Maintenance and pedal work).
