Vr vt
When I got my current vt, did a cooling system refresh and the old water pump had no fins left. None.

Personally I wouldn't run a chemical flush through any of these old commodores now days, will most likely dislodge whatever is holding your heater core together if you reckon first flush was filth.

Are you holding mode and up before start and monitoring digital temp on dash? Mine hits 105 thermo kicks on goes back to 92-93.

First time I pulled the knock sensors on mine after buying it from the original owner (who I knew well), no water came out - not even a wet spot. I had to break it up with a screwdriver. Brown, never changed coolant crap poured out. Dealer serviced it’s whole life....3 years from new.
