VX Commodore 2002 Executive v6. Ex Patrol Car
ITEM: For Sale. 2002 VX II 9C1 Spec (Ex Police) V6 Automatic Commodore.
240k -ish KM. Rego due end of June (Happy to get it slipped by a mechanic for the right buyer. Has recently been checked over and repairs made where necessary). Located Armidale.
Asking Price: $3'500 Negotiable.
Inspections and test drives most welcome.
9C1 Spec comes with;
- Thicker rims (Known as 'chasers' to some), which are 1 Inch thicker then 'stockies'. Thus tires are 225/60r15, however will run 205/65r15 just fine.
- 'High Output V6', goes a bit harder than a stock Ecotec.
- SS2 suspension, lower, stiffer.
- Very dark window tint (Illegal were it not an Ex Police car)
- Gearbox is modified to shift into second without having to push in the button.
- These are supposed to have a bash plate below the engine, mine doesn't for whatever reason, but still has the mount holes.
- Thicker break pads.
Standard wear and tear, i.e. bumper has rock chips in it which I had planned to repair, but I got married instead.
Kept in good running order. Recently had new tires and new drive shaft installed, including new brembo disks, 9C1 break pads, front hubs.
Gearbox was switched out a while ago, has about 150k KM on it.
Radiator was replaced about 2 years ago.
Non standard Modifications:
Has a cold air intake from Mace Engineering. This comes with a pod filter, and makes the car 'growl' a bit. I have the original CAI that comes on these models and you can have that too if you really want. Else I will sell it.

- Thicker break pads.

1 - They are called interceptors or ceptors.
2 - Output is the same ex-police car or not, there is no magical extra power that they had.
3 - If the Tint is below 35% its illegal no matter if its an ex-police or not
4 - Brake Pads are not thicker they were a slightly better compound basically Bendix Ultimate equivalent
