VZ SS-6 litre motor or the old 5.7litre???

hey guys, just a quick question about the VZ SS.. did they all come out with the VE running gear? (6 litre motors)

None come out with the VE running gear....

I believe the VZ had the L76 and VE L98

found a ute and its got the 6 litre motor.
just heard back from the owner and all VZ SS built after 9/2006 have VE running gear

true! only VZ SS' built from 9/2006 have the 6 litre motors

indeed. im not actually sure on the physical differences between the vz and ve 6 liter engines but im sure there would be dick all difference between them

I think the DOD hardware was removed when in the VE (thats what I heard anyway)
They are pretty much the same motor, I cant imagine holden brining in an "interim" motor for a few months.

yea thats right. there are probably a few little software tweaks to get that monstrous 10kw hike over the vz
