The bell housings are the same yes.. Even Gen III and Gen IV are the same.

But there is a difference between being able to bolt them up and actually having it work.

whats stopping it from working? if there basically the same engine shouldnt they just a swap and go senerio? being able to have a factory bullet proof 6L80 auto on a vz L76 would be insane. I'd pay to have that

The problem would more be fitting it to the car in my opinion.

Trans mounts and location of the transmission. The 6 speed auto is controlled by a 32-bit electro-hydraulic control module which would somehow need to be fitted to the VZ and also PCM differences such as the Active Select feature and Performance modes etc.

It could definitely be done but I don't think it would be as simple as just bolting it up. Things never seem to be that simple in the world of cars. Im sure a trans specialist would have a good idea of what would need to be done though :) Would be a good conversion too!

Apparently Coventrys have the 7ltr crate motor for $3500, comes with the ECU as well, these are straight out of the Corvettes so ive been told, buy a 5.7 VZ and drop a LS7 7ltr in the bitch, that would have to be insane
