- vz sv6 Alloytec190
Hello all, I just brought a 2005 vz sv6 on Sunday.
I got the car cheap as it was listed with a buggered auto which i am wondering if it is as bad as what he thought.
I haven't got to get under the car to check the fluid level in the auto yet but i cant see any leaks as far as i can see (that's without putting it on the ramps).
When i first got the car it had been sitting for a few weeks and the battery was flat so i charged it when i got home started it and tried the gears, when i put the throttle down a bit it went into gear and moved sluggish, i tried it today and it went straight into gear and wanted to drive as it should.
I didn't try to drive it more than a couple of meters thow then it stopped moving and wouldn't move again.
I haven't tried it again but this feels like a lack of fluid to me.
Short of checking the fluid could there be another reason??
I don't know much at all about the alloytec auto's could there be a computer fault? or does it sound like the auto is dead.
Even If it is,it's all good as another auto was in my sums when i brought the car, just thinking maybe a easy fix maybe.
Even if the auto gets replaced it will be a good second hand one with myself doing the swap
Any input or info would be appreciated
