I made my recommendation based on experience, I can only assume you're disagreeing with it based on self proclaimed expertise, and not much else.

If the amp is capable of 1500wrms@1ohm... whats it going to do at .5ohm? How do you think the 4ga cable will stand up to it? How do you think the voice coils will stand upto it?

I've ran 0.5ohm on a Hifonics amp. It got hot pretty quick, that was because I was using its full power, box rise was x2. In sealed boxes its even higher so it should be fine.
